Bauchi, Nigeria – 20th April 2026
The Wunti Al-Khair Foundation has taken a significant step toward strengthening access to inclusive education through a strategic visit to the Bauchi State Ministry of Education.
The foundation’s delegation, comprising the Program Officer for Education, the Legal Officer, and the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, visited the ministry to explore pathways for integrating and streamlining the Rudu Gungun Community School into the state’s formal education system.

During the meeting, the delegation emphasized the importance of aligning community-based education initiatives with government frameworks to ensure sustainability, improved standards, and broader access to opportunities for underserved learners.
Receiving the team, the ministry’s Director of Planning, alongside the Coordinator of AGILE Program and Non-Governmental Organizations, Sa’a Usman, welcomed the foundation’s efforts and commended its commitment to community development through education.
The ministry assured the delegation of its readiness to facilitate the integration process, noting that necessary steps would be taken to streamline the school’s operations within the state system. Officials also indicated plans to explore the inclusion of the school in the AGILE Project, a program aimed at improving learning outcomes for adolescent girls.

In addition, the ministry pledged to consider the formal registration of the school with the National Commission for Nomadic Education, a move expected to enhance support for learners in hard-to-reach and mobile communities.
The meeting ended with both parties expressing optimism that the collaboration would strengthen educational delivery in underserved areas and create more inclusive learning opportunities for children in the Rudu Gungun community.
