Bauchi, Nigeria – April 2, 2026

An advocacy and education support group, AID Connect, has called for partnership with the Wunti Al-Khair Foundation to strengthen educational support for students with disabilities in selected schools across Bauchi State.

The request was made during a partnership meeting held on April 2, 2026, where AID Connect outlined its focus on improving learning outcomes for persons with disabilities, particularly students in General Hassan Katsina Unity Schools and Kangere.

The organization explained that its intervention strategy aims to support inclusive education through collaboration with relevant stakeholders, including the Industrial Training Fund (ITF), to sustain vocational skills development for learners with special needs and prepare them for independent living.

AID Connect highlighted several key areas of intervention, including the provision of educational materials such as stationery, branded exercise books, teaching aids, sanitary items, and assistive learning tools like Braille materials to support visually impaired students.

The organization emphasized that these resources are critical to enhancing accessibility and ensuring that learners with disabilities can fully participate in academic activities.

In response, the Director of Programs at the Wunti Al-Khair Foundation requested a detailed breakdown of the proposed costs for the materials and interventions. He noted that the foundation would review the proposal upon receipt of the budget breakdown to determine possible areas of support and collaboration.

The meeting concluded with both parties expressing optimism about building a partnership that would promote inclusive education and improve learning opportunities for students with disabilities across the targeted schools.
