An education consultant and member of the British Council, Mr. Shola Kareem, recently visited Bauchi State for an on-site assessment following an engagement with Wunti Al-Khair Foundation for a consultancy service on the development of Wunti Montessori Academy.
The visit formed part of a broader effort to strengthen educational quality and standards at the proposed academy. During the engagement, Mr. Kareem conducted a detailed facility assessment of Wunti Montessori Academy, reviewing infrastructure, learning spaces, and the overall school environment in line with best practices in early childhood and basic education.
As part of the consultancy assignment, the education expert also undertook site visits to selected private and public schools across Bauchi, enabling him to gain firsthand insight into the state of average school infrastructure, learning conditions, and contextual realities within the education sector in the state. The comparative assessment is expected to inform practical, context-sensitive recommendations for the academy.
Beyond the technical engagements, the consultant was hosted to key historical landmarks in Bauchi, widely known as the “Pearl of Tourism.” Mr. Kareem visited the Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Tomb, where he paid respects to Nigeria’s late Prime Minister, acknowledging his enduring legacy in the nation’s political and educational history. The visit underscores Wunti Al-Khair Foundation’s commitment to delivering quality, globally informed, and locally relevant education, while leveraging expert guidance and international best practices to improve learning outcomes in Bauchi State.
