In a heartwarming display of gratitude and community spirit, the Wunti Al-Khair Foundation marked World Teachers’ Day by honouring the volunteer teachers and staff of Rudu Gungun Community School, bringing joy and recognition to the heart of Tirwun Ward.
The celebration, held at Rudu Gungun, Bauchi Local Government, shifted the spotlight from formal city ceremonies to the often-unsung heroes providing foundational education in a rural setting. The event was aimed at commemorating the dedication of the volunteers and staff who tirelessly drive the foundation’s educational outreach.
A highlight of the event was the presentation of symbolic gifts to the volunteer teachers. These individuals, who hail from Bauchi town, have been instrumental in bridging the educational gap for children in Rudu Gungun, offering lessons in core subjects and moral instruction.
In an address, a representative of the Wunti Al-Khair Foundation management praised the volunteers’ selflessness.
