In a significant stride towards empowering Nigerian youth and fostering economic self-reliance, the Wunti Al-Khair Foundation (WAKF) has announced the sponsorship of six promising trainees for an intensive interior decoration program in Lagos. This initiative falls under the Foundation’s comprehensive Vocational Skills Training Program (VSTP), designed to equip young individuals with market-ready skills and promote entrepreneurship.
The six beneficiaries, selected from Bauchi State, will undergo specialized training in Lagos, a hub for design and innovation, to hone their expertise in modern interior decoration techniques. This advanced training aims to provide them with a competitive edge in the burgeoning creative and construction industries, enabling them to establish successful careers and contribute to local economic development.
The VSTP, a flagship program of the Wunti Al-Khair Foundation, is committed to addressing youth unemployment by offering robust training across various vocational fields. Interior decoration is one of the key skill tracks, recognizing the growing demand for professional design services. By facilitating this specialized training in Lagos, the Foundation seeks to broaden the trainees’ exposure and enhance their practical skills, ensuring they are well-prepared for the demands of the contemporary market.
Upon completion of their training, the six individuals are expected to return to Bauchi and leverage their enhanced expertise to create employment opportunities for themselves and others. This move by the Wunti Al-Khair Foundation underscores its commitment to driving socio-economic progress through targeted vocational education and capacity building.
