The Wunti Al-Khair Foundation (WAKF) has organized a 2-day specialized capacity-building session on Report Writing in Development Practice aimed at strengthening organizational reporting systems, improving documentation quality, and enhancing staff reporting competencies.

The training, facilitated by development communication expert Titilola Mikhail, was aimed at deepening staff understanding of professional report writing within the development sector.

The session focused on key components of effective development reporting, including narrative structure, evidence-based documentation, reporting standards, accountability, and strategic communication of programme outcomes. Participants were also guided on the importance of accurate and timely reporting in supporting organizational learning, donor engagement, transparency, and decision-making.

As part of the engagement, participants reviewed existing reporting practices and worked collaboratively toward developing standardized reporting formats and clearer reporting workflows for the Foundation.

Speaking during the session, the facilitator, Titilola Mikhail, emphasized that effective reporting goes beyond documentation and serves as a critical tool for measuring impact, communicating achievements, and driving institutional growth within development organizations.

The training forms part of WAKF’s broader commitment to strengthening internal systems, improving programme accountability, and building staff capacity to deliver high-quality development interventions across its thematic areas.

In his closing remarks, the Foundation’s Director of Programs, Mustapha Ango, reaffirmed the Foundation’s dedication to institutional excellence through continuous learning, innovation, and professional development initiatives designed to improve operational effectiveness and long-term impact.
