In a significant move towards bolstering youth employability and economic empowerment in Bauchi State, a delegation from Jobberman Nigeria’s workforce team recently paid a courtesy visit to the Wunti Al-Khair Foundation. The visit, which took place in the foundation’s Bauchi, aimed to explore avenues for collaboration between the leading upskilling and recruitment platform and the prominent organization.

The Wunti Al-Khair Foundation, known for its impactful initiatives in education, healthcare, and economic empowerment, particularly through its “Skills for Employability Program” and “Vocational Skills Training Program,” has been instrumental in equipping hundreds of young Nigerians with market-ready skills. The Foundation’s commitment to reducing unemployment and fostering entrepreneurship in Bauchi aligns closely with Jobberman’s overarching mission to connect talent with opportunities across Nigeria.

While specific details of the collaboration are still being finalized, discussions during the visit reportedly focused on leveraging Jobberman’s extensive network of employers and its expertise in talent acquisition and development, alongside Wunti Al-Khair Foundation’s grassroots reach and established training programs. Potential areas of synergy include:

Joint skills training initiatives: Combining Jobberman’s industry-relevant soft skills training with Wunti Al-Khair’s vocational and entrepreneurial programs to create a more comprehensive offering for job seekers.

Enhanced job placement services: Facilitating direct connections between graduates of Wunti Al-Khair’s programs, especially the graduates of Bala Wunti Tech Fellowships and employers on the Jobberman platform.

Data sharing and research: Collaborating on insights into the local labour market to better understand skill gaps and employment trends in Bauchi State.

Awareness and outreach campaigns: Working together to reach more young people in underserved communities and inform them about available training and job opportunities.

The Director of Programs of the foundation, Mr. Ango Mustapha, expressed enthusiasm for the potential partnership, highlighting the shared vision of empowering Bauchi’s youth. Similarly, the Jobberman team led by Daniel Owaeghe reiterated their commitment to expanding their impact beyond major cities and reaching talent in all parts of Nigeria.

This potential collaboration signifies a promising development for youth development and employment in Bauchi State, bringing together the strengths of a leading private sector player and a dedicated non-profit organization to create more pathways to dignified work and self-reliance. Further announcements on the formalized partnership are anticipated in the near future.
