Living with a chronic condition like diabetes or hypertension requires consistent, lifelong treatment. For many indigent and vulnerable individuals in Bauchi State, the rising cost of essential daily prescription drugs often forces a devastating choice between basic survival and health management.

To directly tackle this challenge, the Wunti Al-Khair Foundation (WAKF) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Diabetes Association of Nigeria (DAN), Bauchi State Chapter on September 7, 2026.
Through this agreement, WAKF will provide free monthly diabetes and hypertension medications—including Metformin, Glimepiride, Lisinopril, and Amlodipine—to indigent and vulnerable patients managed through the association at Specialist Hospital / ATBUTH Bauchi.
To ensure transparency, compliance, and proper delivery to those in genuine need, WAKF’s Monitoring & Evaluation team will oversee every step of the distribution process.
