The Wunti Al-Khair Foundation officially participated in a one-day high-level advocacy and partnership programme organized by STEMist, themed “Institutionalizing STEM for GBV Prevention, Disability Inclusion and Women’s Economic Empowerment in Bauchi State.”
The strategic engagement brought together key stakeholders from government institutions, civil society organizations, development partners, and education advocates to deliberate on the integration of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) into policies and programmes aimed at addressing Gender-Based Violence (GBV), promoting disability inclusion, and strengthening women’s economic participation in Bauchi State.
During the session, discussions centered on leveraging STEM education and innovation as practical tools for social transformation. Speakers emphasized the importance of building inclusive systems that empower women and girls with relevant skills, foster entrepreneurship, and create safe environments free from violence and discrimination.
