The Wunti Al-Khair Foundation has successfully carried out its Annual Ramadan Rice Distribution, reaching beneficiaries across 20 Local Government Areas of Bauchi State as part of its Ramadan Al-Khair humanitarian interventions.
The large-scale exercise, which kicked off in Bauchi metropolis, was later extended to various cluster centres strategically created across the state to ensure smooth and equitable distribution. In total, about 6,000 bags of 25kg rice were distributed to vulnerable households, widows, persons with disabilities, and low-income families and associations, to ease the burden of feeding during the holy month of Ramadan.
The cluster distribution model was adopted to enhance accessibility and ensure that beneficiaries in rural and hard-to-reach communities were not left out. The coordinated effort involved cluster heads, local government agents and ambassadors, as well as volunteers and community leaders who supervised the transparent and orderly sharing of the food items.
Beneficiaries across the 20 LGAs expressed deep appreciation for the timely intervention, describing it as a major relief amid rising living costs. Many noted that the support would significantly assist their families in observing Ramadan with dignity and peace of mind.
The Annual Ramadan Rice Distribution remains one of the flagship components of the Foundation’s Ramadan Al-Khair programme, reaffirming its commitment to humanitarian service, social protection, and inclusive community support throughout Bauchi State.
