The Wunti Al-Khair Foundation on Saturday, October 25, 2025, hosted an impactful edition of its Skills for Employability Program in Bauchi, drawing participants, professionals, and partners committed to advancing youth empowerment and entrepreneurship.

The event featured a keynote address by Mallam Murtala Mohammed Alamai, Director, Centre for Career Services at the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi, who underscored the importance of aligning education with employability skills to meet modern labour market demands. He encouraged participants to embrace innovation, continuous learning, and adaptability as keys to success in today’s competitive environment.

A captivating session titled “Your Voice, Your Brand: Building Employability through Communication” was delivered by renowned communication coach Gbade Alkebulan, who emphasized the role of personal branding, communication confidence, and storytelling in building professional credibility and career growth. Other engaging panel discussions explored themes such as youth entrepreneurship, digital transformation, and workplace readiness.

The high point of the program was the presentation of a novelty cheque to winners of the business pitching session. The best business idea received a cash grant of ₦300,000, while two other outstanding participants each received ₦100,000 in support of their ventures.

In addition to financial empowerment, the Foundation also announced further opportunities for personal and professional development: five exceptional participants were offered scholarships to pursue master’s degree programs, and twenty others were awarded full sponsorship for CAC business registration to formalize their enterprises.

Speaking during the presentation,  the Foundation’s Director of Program reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing innovation and self-reliance among young Nigerians, noting that the initiative aligns with Wunti Al-Khair Foundation’s broader mission to promote education, entrepreneurship, and sustainable livelihoods.

The Skills for Employability Program once again demonstrated the Foundation’s leadership in fostering youth empowerment through practical capacity-building and inclusive economic development.
