The Wunti Al-Khair Foundation recorded a major milestone at the historic Bauchi @50 Celebration, where it was honoured with a Certificate of Excellence in recognition of its outstanding contributions to community development and youth empowerment.
The grand celebration, which marked 50 years of the creation of Bauchi State, brought together government officials, development partners, private sector actors, and civil society organizations to reflect on the state’s progress and chart a course for future growth. During the event, Wunti Al-Khair Foundation was specially acknowledged for its impactful interventions in education, vocational skills development, and economic empowerment initiatives across the state.
In addition to receiving the award, the Foundation played an active role in the economic aspect of the celebration by sponsoring about 50 small-scale businesses to showcase their products and services at the Bauchi @50 Trade Fair. The sponsorship enabled aspiring entrepreneurs, many of whom are youth and women, to display and market their goods to a wider audience, creating new opportunities for visibility, networking, and increased sales.
The trade fair served as a platform to highlight local talent, creativity, and enterprise, aligning with the Foundation’s mission to promote sustainable livelihoods and inclusive economic growth. Beneficiaries of the sponsorship expressed appreciation for the opportunity, noting that the exposure significantly boosted their businesses.
In his remark, the Foundation’s Legal Officer, Barr. Umar Magaji Esq described the recognition as a motivation to continue expanding its social impact footprint. He reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to partnering with stakeholders to support education, entrepreneurship, and community-driven development initiatives in Bauchi State.
The Foundation’s participation at the Bauchi @50 celebration not only underscored its growing influence in the development space but also strengthened its role as a key contributor to the state’s socio-economic advancement.
