YLN MERL Team Visits Foundation to Assess Interns’ Performance

The Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning (MERL) team of the Youth Leadership Network (YLN) recently paid a monitoring and assessment visit to the Foundation to evaluate the progress of two interns deployed for a six-month paid internship.

The visit focused on assessing the performance, learning outcomes, and overall integration of the interns, Ayara Emediong Grace and Ibrahim Hannatu Maleka, who have been attached to the Foundation as part of YLN’s commitment to youth capacity development and practical workplace exposure.

During the visit, the MERL team engaged with the Foundation’s team through structured discussions and performance reviews to understand the interns’ roles, responsibilities, and key contributions since the commencement of the internship. 

The Foundation’s team expressed appreciation to YLN for the visit and for providing young professionals with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through a paid internship arrangement. The management reaffirmed its commitment to mentoring the interns and ensuring a supportive learning environment that aligns with YLN’s objectives.

The visit concluded with words of commendation from the YLN MERL team, who commended the Foundation for accepting the interns, and crave for more collaboration and sustained partnership between the two organizations.
