Wunti Al-Khair Foundation Launches Massive Free Rice Distribution Across 20 LGAs

In a significant effort to alleviate economic hardship and provide succor to the less privileged, especially during the holy month of Ramadan, Wunti Al-Khair Foundation has commenced the free distribution of rice to vulnerable residents across all 20 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the state.

The palliative, of about 8,000 25kg bags of rice, was mainly given to the underprivileged members of society, the elder-ly and people with special needs. 

In his address, during  the flag off of distribution exercise, the Director of Program of the Foundation in Azare, the headquarters of Katagum LGA, Mr. Ango Mustapaha emphasized that the initiative is part of the foundation’s commitment to cushioning the effects of rising food prices and inflation during Ramadan.

"This is not just about giving out food; it is about restoring hope and ensuring no citizen within reach goes to bed hungry. We will continue to roll out more palliative measures to support our people.”
