In its continuous effort to build the capacity of young changemakers and youth development, Wunti Al-Khair Foundation held its monthly webinar titled “The Art of Negotiation and Agenda Setting for Social Impact” on Thursday, 30th Nov, 2025. The session was anchored by the Foundation’s Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer, Mallam Abubakar Yanmaza, and featured an insightful presentation by Mr. Haris Aliyu Hardo, a renowned social entrepreneur and youth advocate.

The webinar, which brought together participants from across Bauchi State and beyond, focused on enhancing participants’ understanding of how effective negotiation and strategic agenda setting can drive sustainable social change. In his opening remarks, Mallam Yanmaza emphasized the Foundation’s commitment to promoting knowledge sharing and equipping young people with the practical skills needed to engage meaningfully in policy, advocacy, and community development initiatives.

During his presentation, Mr. Hardo highlighted that negotiation is not just a tool for personal gain, but a critical process in achieving social impact and collaborative development. He explained key principles of effective negotiation, including communication, empathy, preparation, and stakeholder analysis. He also discussed the importance of agenda setting in shaping advocacy outcomes, stressing that “without a clear agenda, social actors risk losing focus and failing to influence decision-making processes.”

Participants expressed appreciation for the session, describing it as both interactive and enlightening. Many commended Wunti Al-Khair Foundation for its consistent efforts in organizing impactful monthly learning series that bridge the gap between theory and practice in social development.

In closing, Mallam Abubakar Yanmaza thanked the guest presenter and participants for their active engagement and reaffirmed the Foundation’s dedication to fostering learning platforms that empower youth, community leaders, and development professionals to make lasting social impact.

The monthly webinar series is part of Wunti Al-Khair Foundation’s broader vision to strengthen civic engagement, promote social innovation, and contribute to sustainable community development in Bauchi State and beyond.
