The Wunti Al-Khair Foundation (WAKF) has continued its commitment to youth empowerment and digital capacity-building with the successful hosting of its monthly webinar series, this edition themed “Career Opportunities in Technology and Emerging Sectors.” The virtual session, held over the weekend, brought together young professionals, students, and aspiring tech enthusiasts from across Nigeria.
The webinar featured Auwal Dahiru, Co-Founder of the Horizon Innovation Hub, as the presenter. In his presentation, Dahiru offered a comprehensive overview of the rapidly evolving technology landscape and the new opportunities shaped by Artificial Intelligence, data science, cybersecurity, cloud computing, digital product innovation, and creative tech. He emphasized that while traditional industries continue to evolve, technology and future-focused sectors are expanding faster than ever, creating new pathways for youth to build sustainable careers.
Dahiru highlighted the importance of continuous learning, adaptability, and hands-on skill development, urging participants to take advantage of accessible online platforms, bootcamps, and community learning spaces. He also underscored the role of innovation hubs like Horizon in supporting young talents through mentorship, incubation, and real-world project experience.
The session was anchored by Fatimah Aliyu Adamu, who provided professional moderation and ensured smooth coordination of the interactive segments.
