Officials from the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) paid a working visit to the office of Wunti Al-Khair Foundation in Bauchi to discuss potential collaboration aimed at simplifying the registration process for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) powered by the Foundation.

The delegation, led by CAC’s Bauchi State acting head, Mrs Hajara Isah Haruna, expressed the Commission’s commitment to fostering partnerships with civil society organizations to enhance business formalization across the country. The visit aimed to explore how Wunti Al-Khair Foundation, known for its empowerment initiatives, could benefit from the commission’s subsidized registration processes for Foundations and Civil Society Organizations.

The officials emphasized the importance of bringing informal businesses into the formal sector to improve access to credit, government support, and legal protections.

The team expressed the need for a memorandum of understanding with the Foundation for continued collaborations and partnerships between the two organizations.

Addressing the delegation, the Programs Director of the Foundation, Mr. Ango Mustapha,  welcomed the CAC team and reiterated the Foundation’s readiness to support the initiative. “Our mission aligns with CAC’s goal of economic inclusion. We will leverage our community networks to encourage small business owners to register and benefit from other government programs,” he said.
