In a show of solidarity and humanitarian concern, Wunti Al-Khair Foundation has donated 200 bags of rice and assorted drugs to victims of the recent flood disaster in Gadiya village, Gamawa Local Government Area of Bauchi State.

The gesture is aimed at alleviating the suffering of residents whose homes and farmlands were destroyed by heavy flooding that ravaged the area in recent weeks.

Presenting the items on behalf of the Foundation, the Foundation’s Legal Officer, Barr. Umar Magaji, said the donation was part of Wunti Al-Khair’s mission to support vulnerable communities during emergencies and restore hope to disaster victims.

He emphasized that the Foundation recognizes the urgent need for both food and healthcare support in flood-hit areas, hence the provision of rice to address hunger and drugs to cater for health challenges often associated with flooding, such as malaria, cholera, and other water-borne diseases.

Receiving the items, community leaders and beneficiaries expressed deep gratitude to Wunti Al-Khair Foundation for coming to their aid at a critical time. They noted that the donation would bring relief to many families struggling to recover from the losses caused by the disaster.

Local authorities also commended the Foundation for consistently standing with rural communities in times of need, adding that such interventions complement government’s efforts in disaster response and humanitarian services.
