Wunti Al-Khair Foundation Bridges Formalization Gap, Awards Free CAC Certificates to 100 Entrepreneurs

Date Published

In a significant boost to grassroots economic development, the Wunti Al-Khair Foundation has officially presented free Certificate of Business Registration from the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) to 100 budding entrepreneurs, marking a critical step in formalizing small businesses in the state.

The presentation was the culmination of an intensive business capacity-building program that trained over 1,000 small business owners on essential entrepreneurial skills. The 100 beneficiaries, carefully selected based on commitment, received their certificates to cheers and applause, effectively transitioning their enterprises from informal operations to legally recognized entities.

The initiative, designed to combat the challenges of informality that plague many small businesses, provided participants with training in Business Foundation and Mindset, Content Creation and Media Strategy, Access to Finance and Technology and Innovation for Small Scale Businesses. However, the cornerstone of the program was the facilitation of the often complex and costly CAC registration process.

The impact of the certificates was immediately evident among the beneficiaries.

The Wunti Al-Khair Foundation has announced plans to scale the program, with the goal of training and registering thousands more small business owners in the coming years, signaling a sustained commitment to fostering a vibrant, formal, and resilient entrepreneurial ecosystem in Nigeria.
