The Association of Women in Agriculture (NIWAB) paid a strategic visit to the Wunti Al-Khair Foundation on Monday to explore collaborative opportunities aimed at empowering rural women farmers in Bauchi State.
The delegation, led by NIWAB’s State coordinator, Na’ilatu Muhammad Inuwa, discussed key challenges faced by women in agriculture, including limited access to farm inputs, financial support, and modern farming techniques. The group proposed joint initiatives with the Wunti Al-Khair Foundation to enhance agricultural productivity and economic sustainability for female farmers.
In response, the foundation’s officials reaffirmed their commitment to supporting women-led agribusinesses through training, microcredit schemes, and mechanized farming support. They emphasized the importance of gender-inclusive agricultural programs in reducing poverty and improving food security in the state.
"The collaboration between NIWAB and Wunti Al-Khair Foundation will create opportunities for rural women to thrive in agriculture, ensuring their families and communities benefit from increased productivity," The foundation’s officials stated.
