Public Lecture on Soft Skills as Pathway to Success Held by Wunti Al-Khair Foundation

The Wunti Al-Khair Foundation successfully hosted a thought-provoking public lecture titled "In Conversation with Bala Wunti: Soft Skills – The Pathway to Success" on 2nd april, 2025 at 500 seater capacity, Sa’adu Zungur University Gadau. The event brought together professionals, students, and youth development advocates to explore the critical role of soft skills in personal and professional growth.
The Director of Programs, Wunti Al-khair Foundation, Mr Ango Mustapha made an opening remark, in which he explains the significance of the event, and its importance to the participants.
The founder of Wunti Al-khair Foundation Dr. Bala Maijama’a Wunti who doubled as the sole speaker narrated the story of Jameela and Jameelu, the story that explains how soft skills can elevate one to enviable height over high academic performance.
Dr. Bala Maijama’a Wunti explained his approach to soft skills using ECCADA+LPC Model Of Resilience. It stands for:
E = Emotional Intelligence (EQ)
C = Creativity
C = Collaboration
A = Analytical and Critical Thinking
D = Decision-Making
A = Adaptability +
L = Leadership Through
P = Problem-Solving and
C = Communication
The chairman opined that inculcating ECCADA + LPC technique equips one with the essential soft skills needed to thrive in any field. Soft skills are not just personal attributes-they are the foundation of leadership, teamwork, and growth.
The Chairman narrated how the model helped sharpen his soft skills and elevated him to achieve success.
He also explained the GSP Model, with stands for:
G = God
S = Self
P = Parent, their vital importance to one’s philosophy and personal growth.
That for one to be great, he/she needs to be grateful to God and Humans, be humble - regardless of the situation, be contented and avoid envy, be smart not just educated, be authentic and be oneself, be bold and thoughts in action, be open-minded and receptive to change, be tenacious amidst adversity, be kind regardless of circumstance, be honest and act with integrity.
The Chairman stated the importance of 3Ts which stands for:
T = Time
T = Treasure
T = Talent.
The event included an interactive Q&A session where attendees shared their experiences and sought advice on developing essential soft skills. Participants praised the discussion for its practicality, with many expressing renewed motivation to invest in personal development.
